Carrotwood - Cupaniopsis anacardioides

Carrotwood known botanically as Cupaniopsis anacardioides is a medium-sized tree with a wide, dense, evergreen canopy that brings tremendous shade and a tropical feel to any garden setting. Carrotwood is native to Australia and tolerates seacoast conditions, heat, drought, and poor soil. 

Available as a single trunk or multi-trunk tree, Carrotwood is great as a privacy tree because of its dense foliage and strong branching structure. Its namesake comes from the unique branch pattern that seems to resemble a carrot top!
