Redspire Flowering Pear originated as a seedling of Pyrus ‘Bradford’ but stays smaller and narrower making it an excellent street tree. A mass of large white flowers in large clusters are produced in the spring before leaves appear.
Well adapted to urban growing conditions and atmospheric pollution, its foliage is glossy and leathery. Pyramidal, dense and symmetrical in shape, its tight branching habit gives it a formal appearance, growing up to 35 feet tall and 18 feet wide.
